The second working meeting this year on the progress of work within the EU project “Improvement of the water communal infrastructure – Rijeka Agglomeration” was held in the premises of the Pehlin Local Committee on Wednesday, November 20, 2024. The project is financed with 71.33% by grants from the European Union.

On Wednesday, November 20, 2024, works will begin in Stari put Street, which include the installation of sewerage and water supply infrastructure.

Works on the reconstruction project of the water communal infrastructure of Adamićeva Street are approaching the final stage. The main sewerage collector is completely completed, while the water supply network is 98% completed. Also, works on sanitary connections are progressing and are currently at 81%. As part of the new works, the construction of 4.1 km of sanitary sewers and 3.4 km of water supply pipelines is planned.

The set of works entitled “Viškovo Expansion” will include the construction of a waste water drainage system and water supply system in the area of Viškovo Municipality (the settlement of Marinići) and the City of Rijeka.

To mark the 29th World Water Day on Monday 21 March 2022, the director of the utility company Vodovod i kanalizacija d.o.o., Mr Andrej Marochini, and the mayor of Rijeka, Mr Marko Filipović, officially opened the exhibition at the main promenade Korzo entitled “The Importance of Preserving Water Resources for the Future: Project “Improvement of the water communal infrastructure – Rijeka Agglomeration”.

Rijeka, 28 December 2021 – A contract on the construction of a wastewater treatment plant at the Delta location was signed at the Ceremonial Hall of the Sugar Refinery Palace, as part of the HRK 1.76 billion project “Improvement of the water communal infrastructure – Rijeka Agglomeration” co-financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund.

Rijeka, 1 December 2021 – The start of works on the project “Improvement of the water communal infrastructure – Rijeka Agglomeration”, co-financed by the European Union from the Cohesion Fund, one of the largest investments in water utility infrastructure in the Republic of Croatia, has been announced in the city of Rijeka.
