Rijeka, March 21, 2025 – On the occasion of World Water Day, KD VODOVOD i KANALIZACIJA d.o.o. held another presentation of the project “Improvement of the water communal infrastructure – Rijeka Agglomeration” for primary school students in the Rijeka agglomeration area.
This time, mini presentations of the project were held in the Rijeka City Hall as part of the lectures of this year’s School of Young Environmental Guardians for students of Belveder Elementary School, Fran Franković Elementary School, Gornja Vežica Elementary School, Kozala Elementary School and Pehlin Elementary School, and all primary school students present were given educational brochures “Zvirko and Dobrica for Clean Water”.
Elementary school students learned about the goals of the EUPAR Project, as well as the importance of preserving springs for the future of all of us.
“We believe that it was useful and interesting for our elementary school students to learn more about the importance of water, where our water comes from and where it goes, but also to learn about the Project itself. We are glad that they listened to the presentation of our Project with interest, which gives us additional encouragement to work with new generations on the issue of the importance of water conservation,” KD VIK says on the occasion of this presentation.
The implementation of such a large-scale, but important project for future generations, requires challenging, long-term work in some of the city’s busiest locations. Although many parts of the city are currently temporarily closed to traffic, this project will ensure the quality of water services and raise the utility and living standards of users.
