Initial works involve the removal of the Škurinje collector cover plate in the final northern part of the street (SECTION IV) by occupying the entire width of the roadway and introducing a traffic ban in the relevant street segment. The southern part of the street will be free for access as a blind branch. Pedestrians are directed to the western sidewalk. The associated part of the parking lot is an integral part of the occupied area.
The contractor will start the work on June 30, 2025.
Due to the scope of works on the road, there will be a change in the traffic regime in the scope of Josip Završnik Street, J.K. Jeretova and Nikole Cara Streets, as follows:
- The northern part of Josip Završnik Street becomes a dead end street for approximately 60 m to the intervention zone.
- The western part of J.K. Jeretova Street remains one-way, but the direction of travel changes – traffic will flow from Josip Završnik Street towards Nikole Cara Street
- The eastern carriageway of the northern part of Nikole Cara Street, also one-way, is being redirected from the south-north direction.
The final northern part of Nikola Cara Street becomes two-way to enable traffic to function.
The works will begin with the removal of the cover plate on SECTION IV of Josip Završnik Street, with the gradual progress of the works towards SECTIONS V, VI, VII and VIIa.
Scheduled completion date: July 18, 2025.
