R. K. Jeretov Street will be closed to traffic from the direction of Josip Završnik Street, i.e. R. K. Jeretova Street will become a dead end.
Pedestrian movement will be redirected to the western and eastern sidewalks.
The parking area on Josip Završnik Street will remain open for use, but it will also function as a dead end street (vehicle access will be possible up to the public kitchen).
Due to the scope of construction works, temporary changes in the traffic regime will apply in the area of Josip Završnik Street, R. K. Jeretov Street, and Nikola Car Street, as follows:
- The northern section of Josip Završnik Street will become a dead-end street approximately 130 meters in length up to the work zone.
- The western section of R. J. Jeretov Street will also become a dead end street – traffic will flow from Nikola Car Street toward Josip Završnik Street.
- The eastern pavement of the northern part of Nikola Car Street, currently one-way, will be redirected to operate south-north.
- The final northern part of Nikola Car Street will be converted to two-way traffic to maintain traffic functionality.
To ensure access to the Potok area, temporary traffic rerouting will be implemented on V. C. Emin Street. Between the intersection with Nikola Tesla/Nikola Car Streets and Josip Završnik Street, as follows:
- The east-west direction will be reduced to two traffic lanes (for straight and left-turn movements).
- On the southern side of the pavement, an additional left-turn lane toward Josip Završnik Street will be established next to the existing west-east traffic lane.
- The existing traffic light system will remain in operation.
- Temporary horizontal road marking will include guidance lines within the signalized intersection area.
- Existing pedestrian crossings will remain unchanged.
The contractor will commence removal of the collector’s cover plate on the final 10 meters of Section VI starting November 7, 2025, with works gradually progressing toward Sections VII and VIIa.
The planned completion of works is December 15, 2025.
