Rijeka, March 18, 2025. – The visit of Škurinje Elementary School students to the Command Center and the Zvir pumping station in Rijeka marked the continuation of presenting the project „Improvement of the water communal infrastructure – Rijeka Agglomeration“, to elementary school students in the Rijeka agglomeration area.
On this occasion, the students learned more about the purpose and importance of the project. In addition, they discovered what it means for their growth and future life in the community, particulary in terms of perserving water resources. As part of the presentation, the students had the opportunity to tour the Zvir spring and hear unique sounds of underwater listening to the source.
The EUPAR project, among other things, aims to inform the general public, especially the residents of the Rijeka Agglomeration, about all the activities being carried out within the project and to familiarize them with the benefits it brings to all citizens of the Agglomeration. In this sense, one of the project´s goals is focused on educating elementary school students throughout the duration of the project.
By involving elementary school students in such campaigns, they are timely informed about the importance of sustainable development, environmental protection, and community cooperation, all as part of broader educational goals in achieving ecological literacy.
