The presentation was held as part of the Forum of Innovation and Sustainable Development in Construction, the central professional event of Adriatech 2025, which brings together representatives of academia, the public and private sectors, and students, with the aim of exchanging knowledge and good-practice examples in the field of sustainable construction and infrastructure.
Within the exhibition and the forum — which promote innovative approaches to construction and infrastructure management — the project was recognised as an example of good practice in the field of sustainable development and environmental protection. Visitors were shown the progress of the works, the technical solutions and innovations applied during the execution of the EU project within the Rijeka agglomeration area.
Given the importance of the project for urban development in Rijeka and its surrounding municipalities, the presentation at Adriatech emphasized its role in the development of modern, environmentally-responsible and sustainable infrastructure — fully aligned with the objectives of European and national development policies.
Participation at Adriatech 2025 provided an opportunity to demonstrate to the professional and academic public how much this project means for the future of Rijeka and the neighbouring municipalities. Through the modernization of water-and-utility infrastructure, the pre-conditions are being created for environmental protection, improved quality of life for citizens and long-term sustainable management of water resources.
