Prime Minister Andrej Plenković welcomed the continuation of this project, which will raise the quality of life of the citizens of Rijeka as well as the other cities and municipalities where it is implemented.
“This project worth almost 300 million euros is important not only because of the increase in the number of connections for the citizens of Rijeka and the Rijeka agglomeration, the prevention of pollution and the reduction of water losses in the area of Rijeka and Kastvo. Investments in water supply and drainage through agglomerations throughout Croatia, including Rijeka, are important for raising the standard of living of the inhabitants and a better quality of life. The fact that the funds come with EU funds in the amount of 70% is also important, about 20% of the funds are allocated by the Ministry of Economy and company „Hrvatske vode“, and the remaining part by the local community,” Prime Minister Plenković said.
The contracts were signed by Sanjin Purić, from the company „GP Krk d.d.“ which will perform the works, and Andrej Marochini, director of „KD Vodovod i kanalizacija d.o.o.“ as the project holder.

At this moment, we have a unique opportunity to fully use the grants available to us and use them to successfully end this big investment cycle.
