On Monday, July 22, 2024, work will begin on the construction of public sewage in Andrije Mohorovičića Street in Martinkovac, from the underpass to house number 26. This is the first section of the SOUTH zone with a length of 210 meters, and the anticipated duration of the works is 90 days.
Traffic on the street will be disabled, but access to properties and pedestrian passage will be maintained. We emphasize that during the execution of the works, traffic regulation is based on the Traffic Study for the duration of the works or the Consent for the Establishment of Temporary Traffic Regulation issued by the competent road authority, and the execution of the project is monitored in accordance with the contract conditions and the authority of the Public Works Employer arising from it.
Upon completion of the first section, work on Andrija Mohorovčić Street will continue from house number 24 to house number 22, with alternating traffic. Work will also proceed on the section from house number 24 to house number 20 A, with traffic completely disabled.
On this 182-meter-long section, in addition to the construction of the sewage system, the water supply network will also be reconstructed, which will ensure a safer and more sustainable water supply in this area, and the planned time of the works is 130 days.
The last section of the SOUTH zone will include works from house number 25 to 32 with the possibility of alternating traffic and will start after the completion of the second section. The contractor plans to finish the third section, 60 meters long, within 60 days.
The Martinkovac settlement is divided into three zones of temporary traffic regulation during the works (WEST, EAST and SOUTH), which are independent of each other. Work in one zone will not affect traffic flow in the other zones.
The modernization and expansion of the public sewage and water supply systems in the Martinkovac settlement will ensure a reliable infrastructure that will stimulate local sustainable development, attract new investments, and support the growth of tourism activities in the area.
